Entrepreneurship @ Cass

The Cass Entrepreneurship Society works closely with the Cass Entrepreneurs Network, CitySpark and the Peter Cullum Centre for Entrepreneurship as well as with other and professional bodies at Cass Business School to provide students with access to a wide range of opportunities and resources.

Cass Entrepreneurs Network

Cass Entrepreneurs' network (CEN) is a diverse and lively community of alumni, students, academics, business people and investors that provides members with a supportive forum of entrepreneurial expertise.

Members can tap into the power of this network in many ways, from requesting help from successful entrepreneurs on the CEN committee to meeting potential key partners at our events. Events are held throughout the academic year, and provide invaluable opportunities to hear expert speakers share their insights - often based on personal experience - on a wide range of topics.

CitySpark

CitySpark is the year-round student innovation and enterprise programme delivered to students of all Schools right across City University London. Take part and you can:

  • Win cash prizes for your team's ideas
  • Get skills to make you more attractive in the job market
  • Understand what it takes to start your own enterprise
  • Learn how to make your entrepreneurial dreams a reality

Past winners have even used their prize money to launch their own businesses!

Peter Cullum Centre for Entrepreneurship

The Centre is a focal point for budding and established entrepreneurs across the Cass network. If you have a great commercial idea, and the focus and resilience to create a significant business, we can help you develop the skills and connections to make it succeed.

The Centre is at the forefront of entrepreneurship and grew from the vision of Peter Cullum, a high profile Cass alumnus, the founder of Towergate Insurance and the 2005 Ernst & Young UK Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner.  In December 2010, Peter was awarded a CBE for his contribution to business, entrepreneurship and charitable causes.

The Centre brings together the skills, experiences, and networks of successful entrepreneurs, financiers, and business leaders. It focuses them in a practical way on the needs of emerging businesses - offering perspective on the market and the opportunities and risks facing your business.

With a pledge of £10 million of risk capital from Peter Cullum, the Centre is able to act as an integrated development partner and funding hub for the next generation of high potential entrepreneurs.
